Description

New book from the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre lets you relive your memories of Glasgow Habonim!

This 148-page book, written and compiled by Stephen Kliner and lavishly illustrated, traces the story of one of Glasgow’s most successful youth movements.  The Glasgow group was founded about 1930 by Dora Stelmach (Camrass) and others and met in the Gorbals, the city centre and elsewhere in the south side over the years.  In its heyday in the late 1950s, with a newly-built Bayit in Sinclair Drive, membership was around 260, with an average of 160-170 participating weekly.

Relive the Third Seders and the camps, the dramatic performances and all the other activities with this new souvenir book.
