Jewish Govanhill Walk

Around twenty participants enjoyed a walk around the Govanhill and Crosshill area, organised for the fourth time by the Archives Centre as part of Govanhill International Festival 2023. The tour included stories of Jewish life in the area from the beginning of the 20^th century onwards.  Mention was made of synagogues, youth groups, communal organisations, shops, businesses and a number of former residents were remembered.
