Lev Atlas brought his violin and unique musical skills along with the experience of survival as a Jewish refugee a long way from Russia via the United States to Scotland, where the Atlas family finally settled in Glasgow in 1993.
He became the Principal Viola of the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and Senior Lecturer in Strings at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Lev has been an internationally acclaimed tutor for generations of young musicians.
