Book Launch – Wednesday 27th October

We are delighted to let you know that we will be launching Kenneth Collins’ new book, ‘Zev’s Children – An International Jewish Family’ in a hybrid event which will take place at the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre, entry at 29 Garnet Street, Glasgow  on Wednesday 27th October at 7.30pm. The launch will also be streamed online.

Kenneth is Chair of the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre and is the leading chronicler of Scotland’s Jews.  In the book he tells his family’s story from its origins in Ukraine in the first half of the 18th Century, following descendants of his great grandfather Zev Kagarlitsky in Russia, America, Argentina, France, Israel, England and Scotland. It is a cast of colourful characters : Marxists in Russia, a Holocaust survivor in France, and an unexpected death of a Soviet commercial agent in London, early Zionist pioneers, businessmen in Scotland and America.

Kenneth will be speaking about his book and will be free to answer any questions you may have.

This is a free event although donations are always welcome!
